Shields protect your starfighter from taking hull damage. They come in a wide variety of configurations, each with their own strengths and drawbacks. Some starfighters, such as the TIE fighter, do not support shields at all. All shields are passive components.

- Description from the official website

Shields are a type of passive components in Star Wars: Squadrons. Shield components protect your starfighter's hull from enemy fire until the shield is depleted. TIE Fighters, Interceptors, and Bombers cannot have shields. There are 8 Shield components in Squadrons.

Types of Shields[]

Conversion Shield[]

The Conversion Shield shunts all weapons power to create a brief but indestructible barrier when your shields go down.

Deflector Shield[]

The Deflector Shield is the default shield for all shielded starfighters. It has no special features.

Fortified Deflector[]

The Fortified Deflector has higher health than the standard shield, but regenerates slower.

Nimble Deflector[]

The Nimble Deflector has less health but faster regeneration than other shields.

Overloaded Shield[]

The Overloaded Shield is a high-health shield with low regeneration rate. However, it will not regerate at all if the shield is fully depleted.

Ray Shield[]

The Ray Shield takes less damage from enemy cannons, but is more susceptible to damage from hostile missles and torpedoes.

Resonant Shield[]

The Resonant Shield increases weapons recharge while shields are maxed out at the cost of lower shield health.

Scrambler Shield[]

The Scrambler Shield makes it harder for enemy ships to lock on when shields are at 100%, but it takes longer for shields to start regenerating.
