Description[edit | edit source]
"Sporting four massive thrusters that lend it surprising speed and mobility, the U-wing support craft is a welcome addition to any squadron. While it is difficult to kill in a dogfight, its true value is in supporting the squadron with life-saving supplies and repairs, allowing fellow pilots to operate more effectively. The U-wing can also disrupt enemy systems, making them easy targets for allies."
Behind the Scenes[edit | edit source]
The engines of a U-wing first appeared in a flashback depicted in the 2016 comic series Star Wars: Poe Dameron, written by Charles Soule, before the support craft made its on-screen debut in its entirety in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, directed by Gareth Edwards.
